If you smoke and haven’t quit smoking yet, you probably already know that it isn’t doing any favours to your health – now and into the future.

 

And with the New Year approaching, is now the time you find the way to stop smoking for good?

 

Yet the sooner you stop smoking, the sooner your body starts to recover and your health and wellbeing start improving.

 

What’s your motivation to stop smoking now?

 

When they come to see me for help to stop smoking, my clients have many different reasons for wanting to quit.

 

Maybe you are concerned about the impact on your health. Many of my clients have experienced a health scare or have simply noticed how breathless they now get.

 

Many talk about their concern that their children will see them smoke and then they will start smoking. Or they just want to be able to keep up with them as they grow.

 

And although not often the main factor, the cost of smoking is still something worth considering. Have you ever worked out how much you spend on smoking a month, or a year? Or how much you have spent in the last 5 years and will sacrifice in the next 5 years if you don’t stop smoking?

 

You may share these motivations to stop smoking or maybe you have your own, individual reasons. Whatever your motivation, be clear in your mind why you want to stop smoking, and be sure it’s strong enough to make you take that step to quit smoking.
